How Can I Calculate How Much Artists Are Making On Spotify?

The answer to this question is somewhat vague as Spotify doesn’t provide all the details necessary. However, there are 2 ways you can approximate it.

The first way is to take the number of monthly listeners and input that into this Spotify stream calculator.

This method assumes that every monthly listener listen’s to 1 song. Of course, most probably listen to more than one song although we’ll just use the monthly listener’s number to be on the safe side.

Just take Led Zepellin for example:

Now let’s take that number and put it into our calculator.

Just from streams alone, we can assume that Led Zeppelin is making at least $65k per month.

Another way is to simply look at the play counts next to the “Popular” songs.
